How to Clean Your Leatherman Wave

Salt Water/Marine Environments

  • First rise the tool in fresh water
  • Next dry it with a soft or paper towel.
  • Finally lubricate the Leatherman with a water-displacing product.

Dirt/Sticky Substances

  • Use a mild solution of water and detergent.

Tar/Heavier Substances

  • Use turpentine or other mineral spirits. ¬†Aviod using chlorine products.

When you are finished cleaning your Leatherman Wave, appy a little bit of machine oil or a water-displacing lube such as WD-40. This will help remove any trapped moisture and help to prevent any corrosion or sticking.
